Anthony Mackie and Priyanka Chopra Jonas are attached to star in Ending Things, a True Lies-esque action film centered on a pair of assassins.

Anthony Mackie has been cast alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the new action flick Ending Things. Mackie is most famous for his role as Sam Wilson/Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and just last year saw his character take on the role of the next Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Chopra Jonas, meanwhile, is a Bollywood legend who has gradually been increasing her presence in American film, most recently appearing in The Matrix Resurrections.

Now, Deadline reports that the two stars will lead the cast of a new assassin-based movie called Ending Things. The spec script comes from writer Kevin Sullivan and focuses on a hit-woman and her business partner. The film’s tone is compared to True Lies and has elements of romance and action. Chopra Jonas and Mackie’s characters will be assassin partners with a complicated relationship, embarking on one final mission together. The film is to be produced by Davis Entertainment and Lit Entertainment, with Mackie’s Make It With Gravy Productions also attached.

Though it’s unclear who will end up helming Ending Things, Mackie is set to make his directorial debut with civil rights movie Spark as the actor broadens his horizons behind the camera. Outside of Marvel, Mackie is starring in the TV adaptation of popular video-game franchise Twisted Metal. Chopra Jonas has Text for You currently in post-production, which pairs her with Outlander star Sam Heughan for a romantic drama. While further details of the upcoming couple-based action film are currently under wraps, the intriguing plot and hot-prospect leads will likely draw audiences to see Ending Things when it eventually makes it to theaters.
