Has the ‘Peaky Blinders’ Season 6 Release Date Finally Been Revealed?

It’s been a long, long wait, but it looks like the Peaky Blinders season six release date has finally been revealed.

Usually the announcement comes via an official Twitter account, but this time around fans found out about the potential drop date through a Sunday Times interview with series director Anthony Byrne. LadBible reports that the article, which has seemingly been amended online, revealed that the sixth and final season would arrive on our screens on the 27th February. The BBC and Peaky teams are yet to confirm.

Season five began with two episodes released over as many nights, and then followed up with a new episode every week. We don’t know a huge amount about the new series just yet – previous suggestions that it would represent the final furlong of Tommy Shelby’s redemption arc have seemingly been quashed by Steven Knight’s intention to create a Peaky Blinders movie. It also means that the season will likely not finish with the country on the brink of war with Germany, as has been pitched in the past.

What we do know is that the series will welcome some fresh faces, including The Irishman star Stephen Graham and County Lines newcomer Conrad Khan. Take a look at the rest of the line-up with our breakdown of the series.

In our recent cover story with Cillian Murphy, the Irish actor talked about the devastating death of his co-star, Helen McCrory, and how difficult it was to continue the show in her absence.
