Alexandra Daddario is a vision of elegance in a black cutout gown at the AMC upfronts in New York City… promoting Mayfair Witches
Alexandra Daddario hit the red carpet to promote her upcoming series Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches at the AMC upfronts.
The 36-year-old actress signed on to the project in March, playing Rowan, a doctor who grapples with her fate as the heir to a family of witches.
She was joined by a number of AMC luminaries including Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Sehorn, the upcoming series Moonhaven’s Joe Manganiello, Growing Up Hip Hop’s Tahira Francis, Da Brat, Jessica Dupart and Angela Simmons and Dark Winds’ Noah Emmerich.
Daddario hit the red carpet at The Peak in New York City’s Hudson Yards with an elegant and unique black gown from the Michael Kors Collection.
The gown only had one sleeve with a cutout exposing her midriff and a slit up the left leg.
She completed her look with a pair of black pumps, a number of gold bracelets and her engagement ring from producer/fiancee Andrew Form, who have been engaged since December.
The series was given the green light back in December, based on Anne Rice’s novel trilogy Lives of the Mayfair Witches.
AMC had acquired the rights to ‘an expansive collection’ of Rice’s work, featuring 18 novels in her library.
The show will follow Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire, which are both expected to debut in late 2022 or possibly early 2023.
While he wasn’t at the upfront presentation, Harry Hamlin was recently cast in Mayfair Witches as Cortland Mayfair, described as the, ‘current reigning patriarch of the Mayfair clan with a voracious appetite for more money, more power and more life, in his first series regular role in over two decades.’
There’s no indication when Daddario will start production on Mayfair Witches, but with an expected debut later this year, it will likely start sooner than later.
She is coming off HBO’s White Lotus, with a new movie dubbed Wildflower with Jacki Weaver, Kiernan Shipka, Charlie Plummer and Jean Smart, in post-production.
Better Call Saul stars Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Sehorn were in attendance, ahead of their show’s final season, debuting April 18.
Bob opted for a grey dress shirt under a cobalt blue suit coat and black pants for the Wednesday afternoon event.
Sehorn opted for a full-length black floral print gown and black pumps for her appearance on the red carpet.
