Disney+ seems to be cranking out a slew of new series and original movies that have made audiences flock to the streaming service. With the success of Loki and its expected season two, as well as the recent conclusions of Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s best projects, may be happening on television rather than in the theaters. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is the next series that will hit Disney+ very soon, as it touches on the nostalgia and hilarity that Bruce Banner has given fans for decades. Recently, it was announced that some changes are occurring over at Disney+ when it comes to the impending release of, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
According to a report by comicbook.com, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s proposed release date has been pushed back to August 18th. The original release date was scheduled for Wednesday, August 17th, and individual episodes were supposed to debut on Disney+ every Wednesday. Now, it seems that Disney has chosen a Thursday time slot for the series, where nine episodes will premiere every Thursday until October 13th. It appears that Disney is making a calculated move based on competing projects from the Star Wars franchise side of their business, as the new series Andor will debut on Wednesday, September 21st. Having the Diego Luna-starring vehicle Andor on Wednesdays and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on Thursdays will free the streamer from a possible ratings catastrophe.
It seems that Disney may have a lot of faith in the upcoming She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, but they might be attempting to protect the series from any lousy press wherever they see fit. The studio has recently been on a promotional blitz for the show, marketing She-Hulk’s poster at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con and releasing several trailers. According to Deadline, Disney and Marvel are defending visual effects artists that have come forward detailing extended hours and harsh working conditions within a short period in order to finish the VFX work on many of their projects. As such, a video clip from the series made its way onto YouTube this week, showing stars Mark Ruffalo and Tatiana Maslany as their characters Bruce Banner and Jennifer Walters, respectively, as they try out their superhuman powers in a quasi-training session.
Even though She-Hulk: Attorney at Law may be the last series to show on Disney+ from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Four, it may help foster characters that will expand into other films and shows for different proposed phases. Entertainment Weekly reports that actor Charlie Cox will reprise his Netflix role and make an appearance as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, in She-Hulk, which was long rumored by fans. After making a cameo in last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home as the character and now appearing on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, this will set Matt Murdock up for cameos in other MCU projects. So far, those have been confirmed to be the upcoming Phase Five series Echo, the animated series Spider-Man: Freshman Year, and Cox’s own reboot entitled Daredevil: Born Again.
