Bridget Regan, who appeared as Rose in Jane the Virgin, joins the Supernatural prequel The Winchesters in a recurring role as a rising DJ.

Jane the Virgin’s Bridget Regan joins the cast of The Winchesters. After the Supernatural series finale ended the long-running TV series in 2020, the CW announced a spinoff prequel series following Dean and Sam’s parents, John and Mary, as they fall in love while hunting monsters in the ’70s. The Winchesters stars Drake Rodger as John Winchester and Meg Donnelly as Mary Campbell, with Supernatural star Jensen Ackles reprising his role of Dean as the narrator of his parents’ story. The cast also includes Nida Khurshid as Latika Desai, Jonathan Fleites as Carlos Cervantez, Demetria McKinney as Ada Monroe, and Bianca Kajlich as John’s mother Millie.

Now another character has been added to the Supernatural prequel series. The Wrap reports that Bridget Regan is joining The Winchesters in a recurring role. The Jane the Virgin alum will portray Rockin’ Roxy, a rising DJ in Lawrence, Kansas, whose fanbase is rapidly growing thanks to her magnetic charm. This spells trouble for John and Mary as they discover that Roxy’s fans aren’t all human.

Although the non-human members of Roxy’s fanbase are certain to cause problems for the Winchesters, it is still unclear whether Regan’s character will be a friend or foe to John and Mary. Although Regan has portrayed both heroes and villains throughout her career, in recent years the actress has taken more villainous roles, like Rose in Jane the Virgin, so perhaps, Roxy and the Winchesters will face off in the coming series. Still, regardless of her character’s motives, Regan is certain to be an exciting addition to The Winchesters.
