Olivia Wilde & Florence Pugh On-Set Feud Details Reportedly Revealed

An anonymous source shares new details from Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh’s on-set feud, including a reported screaming match between them.

As the film makes its way to theaters, new Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh on-set feud details from Don’t Worry Darling have reportedly been revealed. The behind-the-scenes drama has created a lot of press for Don’t Worry Darling, but the movie has received mediocre reviews for Wilde’s first film since Booksmart in 2018. Rumors have been flying since it was revealed Wilde and Harry Styles began a relationship while working together on Don’t Worry Darling, creating a closely watched premiere at the Venice Film Festival.

Don’t Worry Darling has had bad blood on set from the start, with Wilde reportedly firing Shia LaBeouf from the lead role, only for then LaBeouf releasing a video of Wilde begging him not to quit the movie. Then, after Harry Styles replaced LaBeouf, Wilde reportedly started seeing Styles while still with Jason Sudeikis, who even showed up on the Don’t Worry Darling set with their children. Besides the alleged affair, Pugh was also unhappy about the movie being marketed with a focus on the sex appeal of her and Styles’ characters, and now further details are surfacing about their issues.

As Vulture reports, an anonymous source who spent time on the set of Don’t Worry Darling has revealed Pugh and Wilde had an all out “screaming match” three-quarters of the way through filming. Pugh was reportedly fed up with Wilde and Styles frequently disappearing on-set, leading to the argument during filming in January 2021. Executive of Warner Bros. at the time Toby Emmerich had to help negotiate between Pugh and Wilde, which resulted in Pugh doing very little press for Don’t Worry Darling.

Florence Pugh Almost Refused Don’t Worry Darling Press

Pugh almost didn’t do any press at all for Don’t Worry Darling after long negations, but did end up appearing at the Venice Film Festival for the movie’s premiere. However, even more drama ensued with reports of Styles spitting on Chris Pine and an odd arrangement of the cast seeming to separate Wilde and Styles. Don’t Worry Darling has lacked press in general, but as viewers speculate the most miniscule details of the actor’s lives, including Pugh not liking Wilde’s Instagram posts, the actor’s feud may have actually helped the film at the box office.

Although early reviews of Don’t Worry Darling have little praise other than for Pugh, the real-life drama of Wilde and Pugh has been a spectacle in itself. With videos coming out and on-set sources stepping forward, this may not be the end of the Don’t Worry Darling scandals propelling the film through the box office. Pugh has made her stance clear by doing the bare minimum for press, but only time will tell whether her refusal will hurt the movie’s profits or not.
