Dua Lipa posted a picture of herself naked and standing up in a bathtub to her Instagram.
If Instagram ever gives you any issues about posting something “inappropriate,” remind them that in the last week of September they let Dua Lipa post a picture of herself naked to her official account. Not that we’re complaining, of course. While no, the shot of the singer in the buff isn’t the first shot you see above, keep clicking through and you’ll get to it a couple of photos from the end.
Dua Lipa is either kneeling or standing naked in the shot, with nothing but suds and noise cancelling headphones on her body. Judging by some of the other shots, including wearing the same outfit Teen Vogue captured her in when she was there, Lipa is enjoying one of New York City’s expansive views from the comfort of her tub. And whoever took the shot is enjoying a view of a completely different variety.
Teen Vogue posted shots of Dua Lipa–of the not-naked variety–on September 27, the day after the model-turned-singer closed out the Firefly Festival in Dover, Delaware. The guys from Wayne’s World may have made fun of the place, but the English singer was joined at the event by big names like Green Day, Cold War Kids, Weezer, Mod Sun, My Chemical Romance, Halsey, and more.
The next day Teen Vogue found her in the Big Apple wearing the same ensemble Dua Lipa wore on Instagram in the not-naked shots. Before relaxing in her tub, Lipa wore form-fitting black pantaleggings with built-in heels, coupled a white jacket. Protecting her eyes is a pair of red and black wraparound sunglasses, and she carries a neon green Luar bag with a crocodile print.
The neon green of the bag carries over onto her fingernails, which Dua Lipa gives special attention to in some of her not-naked Instagram shots. Her nails are painted black with neon green safety pins and she captions her post with a quartet of safety pin emojis.
The pins are, in most likelihood, a reference to a daring look Dua Lipa pulled off last year. As reported by CelebWell, the singer attended a London party in an outfit designed by fashion icon Donatella Versace–a green sleeveless top matched with a glittery purple miniskirt held together with large safety pins, with two large safety pins for earrings. The outfit reminded many of the famous safety pin dress Versace designed for Elizabeth Hurley in the nineties, before Hurley’s split with Hugh Grant.
While Dua Lipa fans no doubt don’t mind naked shots of the star, what many of them are really hoping for is another album. The singer was planning her third album before her second one–2020’s Future Nostalgia–was finished recording. The last word fans had was in March when, during her Dua Lipa: At Your Service podcast interview with Elton John, the singer said album #3 was “50 percent done.”
