Two girls who look exactly like Milly Alock and Emily Carey’s young Rhaenyra and Alicent from House of the Dragon season 1 unite in a TikTok duet.
House of the Dragon‘s young Rhaenyra and Alicent doppelgängers unite in a TikTok video. House of the Dragon, which is set 200 years before Game of Thrones, begins by introducing a young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, the heir apparent to the Iron Throne, and Lady Alicent Hightower, the daughter of the Hand of the King. Milly Alcock and Emily Carey immediately endeared themselves to audiences with their performances as the childhood friends-turned-rivals, which is why it was so bittersweet when a 10-year time jump resulted in their characters being recast with Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke. Luckily, their performances have become just as beloved, with D’Arcy kicking off awards season with a Golden Globe nomination.
As Alcock and Carey’s performances remain beloved, two doppelgängers have recently been garnering some attention online. Shared @anniegull_ on TikTok, the duet unites the original poster, who looks strikingly similar to Carey, side-by-side with @kennedypowerz, who looks uncannily like Alcock, effectively bringing young Rhaenyra and Alicent together once again. Will Young Alicent & Rhaenyra Return In House of the Dragon Season 2?
House of the Dragon‘s 10-year time jump resulted in numerous characters, most notably Rhaenyra and Alicent, being recast. While it appears the show has mostly moved on from the adolescent period of Rhaenyra and Alicent’s lives and is plunging full speed ahead into the Dance of the Dragons civil war, there is always a chance House of the Dragon season 2 or beyond will revisit the two characters’ childhood. This could happen if a future storyline necessitates a flashback to this time for some additional context or character development.

Alcock has already addressed the possibility of House of the Dragon bringing her and Carey back, revealing that there have been talks about their return, though nothing had been decided yet. Shortly after, House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal offered some clarifying remarks on the subject, stating that the return of young Rhaenyra and Alicent is not a part of the current plans for season 2. At the same time, it’s not something he can rule out for future seasons.
Game of Thrones season 5 featured a flashback showing a young Cersei Lannister’s visit to Maggy the Frog, a fortune teller who informs her of the Valonqar prophecy. With prophecy also proving crucial to the prequel show, House of the Dragon could also revisit earlier time periods to explore pertinent prophecies, except it will have the benefit of bringing back younger actors who have already been previously introduced. Only time will tell if young Rhaenyra and Alicent ever return in House of the Dragon.
