The 10 Sexiest New TV Shows We’ll Be Sweating Over in 2023

Set aside time to watch these shows.

What’s the point of living vicariously through fictional characters if they don’t get down to business? I’m sure I could think of some things if I put my mind to it, but I don’t wanna! We’ve had a few great years of sexy, horny television shows with BridgertonNormal PeopleThe White Lotus, and Interview With the Vampire. It’s been a wonderful escape, especially considering romantic comedies and really good sex scenes in movies are rare these days. To keep that buzz going, here is your guide to the sexiest 2023 TV shows.

I’ll be honest: There’s not a ton just yet. Maybe Loki season 2 will do it for ya, but while the MCU is full of sexy people, they are rarely doing the dirty. Where’s the Sally Rooney adaptation? Where’s the tantalizing HBO limited series? Sexy television, I’m gonna need you to step it up in 2023. Here’s what we have so far. (The silver lining is that most of these shows are dropping in the first half of the year, perfect to warm us up in those last cold months!)

Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches

Release date: January 8

Sexy!!!! Witches!!!! From the people who brought you Interview With the Vampire! Bless.

The Company You Keep

Release date: February 19

This series is going to air on ABC, so there may not be a lot of bare skin. (But also, like, I’m not gonna sit here and tell you Grey’s Anatomy isn’t sexy.) This stars Milo Ventimiglia as a con artist who has a one-night stand with a CIA agent played by Catherine Haena Kim. That premise has sexy romance novel written all over it.

Daisy Jones and the Six

Release date: March 2

I’m just assuming this Amazon Prime Video show with a bunch of sexy people set in the world of rock and roll at a very sexy time is going to be sexy, TBH.

Shadow and Bone Season 2

Release date: March 16

This show—which will return for season 2 on Netflix—is for the “will they/won’t they” freaks. If the sexiest thing to you is clawing your face off and yelling at your television for two characters to kiss already, then you’ve got to check it out. Don’t be scared off by the fantasy of it all—it’s no more complicated than Game of Thrones.

Sanditon Season 3

Release date: March 19

This period romance, based in part on Jane Austen’s unfinished novel by the same name, isn’t nearly as scandalous as Bridgerton, but it’s not afraid to go there from time to time. At the very least, you can get your fill of longing looks and rolled-up sleeves. Never underestimate the power of bare forearms.

Outlander Season 7

Release date: Summer 2023

Yep, this steamy show is still kicking.

The Idol

Release date: TBD 2023

Yes to whatever this is, please.

Bridgerton Season 3

Release date: TBD 2023

The third season of the popular Shondaland romance novel series on Netflix will be all about Penelope locking down her man Colin but will feature plenty of Kanthony goodness as well, don’t fret. We just don’t, unfortunately, have a release date yet.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story

Release date: TBD 2023

In addition to more Bridgerton, we’ll also be getting a throwback series that tells the love story between Queen Charlotte and King George III. Yes, history buffs, that is the same King George that the United States was founded against in the Revolutionary War—the one made (more?) famous by Jonathan Groff in the original Broadway cast of Hamilton. I’m not sure if I’m ready to see him get all sexy, but I guess it’s gonna happen!

Ripley

Release date: TBD 2023

Showtime is being very secretive about its upcoming series adapted from The Talented Mr. Ripley and other books by Patricia Highsmith starring Andrew Scott, Johnny Flynn, and Dakota Fanning. I wish they’d give me us at least a little tease!
