Anna Faris goes NAKED as she stars in an updated version of Adam and Eve story in tongue-in-cheek Super Bowl ad for Avocados From Mexico

Anna Faris was featured in the Super Bowl commercial for Avocados From Mexico’s Make It Better campaign, which was released on the brand’s official YouTube account earlier this week.

In the clip, the 46-year-old performer portrayed biblical figure Eve in a reimagined version of what would have happened had she eaten an avocado as opposed to an apple.

The actress, who recently returned to her old talent agency, also spoke about working on the project during a talk show appearance that took place earlier this week. 

The commercial began with an actor playing Adam reacting to a darkening sky and turning toward Eve, who said that she ‘might have taken a small bite’ from a tree containing forbidden fruit.

After the two suddenly noticed that they were naked, a groundhog advised Eve to try an avocado, expressing that the fruits ‘make everything better.’

The biblical figure then opened the avocado, after which the scene changed to a New York City that had been dominated by the fruit’s positive effects, leaving all its residents to remain naked.

After a pair of cab drivers humorously expressed their love for one another, scenes from a fashion show where naked models were ‘all the rage’ were shown.

A tech CEO introduced an avocado that could also be used as a phone, and a man covered his nudity by wearing a sign that read: ‘The end is not near.’

Adam, Eve and the groundhog later stood in front of a completely naked Statue of Liberty, and Faris’ character commented: ‘Now that’s a tourist attraction.’

The actress spoke about working on the advertisement during an interview with Today, where she expressed that she was elated to have been considered for the lead in a nationally televised commercial. 

‘For this to be a Super Bowl commercial feels like one of those moments of high school revenge,’ she stated.

The Take Me Home Tonight star also acknowledged the company’s support in portraying the advertisement’s lead. 

‘I love that Avocados From Mexico wanted to hire a 46-year-old Eve,’ she stated.

Faris went on to discuss working with the commercial’s director, Bryan Buckley, and expressed that she made him a gift to encourage him to make the most of his footage during the project’s shooting process.

‘Bryan is a genius and I really wanted him to use good, funny takes…so I spent the rest of the night knitting him this hat,’ she said. 

The performer concluded by discussing her feelings about nudity during the commercial’s production. 

She said: ‘I could either fight this all day and feel modest and, like, “ahh, covering up,” but I didn’t feel like Eve would ever…she’s an innocent. It’s all method acting!’
