She also captured the moment on video, which she shared with fans on Instagram. “Happy premiere night,” the actress says when he opens the room door. When the amused actor asks his wife to get out of the hall, she tells him that she’s already done three nude laps.
The stunt was inspired by the poster of their recently released film, Somebody I Used To Know. The clip was accompanied by a fitting caption that read, “What to do when your husband is feeling anxious about his movie premiere.” Alison Brie also encouraged fans to watch the movie which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Alison Brie and Dave Franco met during Mardi Gras in 2011 when they were introduced by mutual friends. After quietly dating for six years, they married in March 2017. Since then, they have worked on several projects together. They co-starred in The Little Hours and The Disaster Artist in 2017. And, three years later, the actor made his directorial debut with the horror movie The Rental, starring his wife.
Somebody I Used to Know is their fourth collaboration. The romantic comedy is directed by Dave Franco from a script he wrote with Alison Brie. The story follows Ally, a workaholic who reminisces with her ex-boyfriend on a trip to her hometown. Soon, she starts to question everything about the person she’s become. Things get more confusing when she meets Cassidy who reminds her of who she used to be.
Along with Alison Brie, Somebody I Used to Know also stars Jay Ellis as the ex-boyfriend Sean, and Kiersey Clemons as Cassidy. The cast also includes Danny Pudi as Benny, Olga Merediz as Joanne, Haley Joel Osment as Jeremy, Julie Hagerty as Libby, Ayden Mayeri as Kayla, and Fabi Reyna as Jules. The movie was released via the streamer on February 10.
Interestingly, Alison Brie enjoys being nude. She discussed the topic during an appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast with Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers. The 40-year-old explained that her love of nudity began when she was a college student at the California Institute which has a clothing-optional policy. She said this helped her to love her body and feel comfortable in her own skin.
Alison Brie can next be seen in the action comedy, Freelance. Directed by Pierre Morel from a script by Jacob Lentz, the story follows a retired special forces operator who finds herself protecting a journalist tasked with interviewing a dictator. When a military coup breaks out in the middle of the media project, they are forced to escape into the jungle.
Along with Alison Brie as the brave journalist, Freelance also stars John Cena as the retired special forces operator and Juan Pablo Raba as President Venegas. Alice Eve, Marton Csokas, and Christian Slater round out the cast. Production began in Colombia in January 2022, with cinematographer Thierry Arbogast. There is currently no release date.
