Sophie Turner Wears Completely See-Through Lace Dress On The Red Carpet

Sophie Turner wore a beautiful bejeweled gown to the 2023 British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards. Designed by Louis Vuitton, the dress worn by the Game of Thrones starlet was crafted from sheer black and gunmetal floral lace. It also featured long sleeves and a floor-length train that sparkled with teardrop stones in gold, silver, pink, blue, red, purple, and green.
Her unique outfit choice created a statement in a moment of extensive glamour. Sophie Truner completed her look with a set of sparkling diamond and ruby earrings. The actress also wore several diamond cocktail rings to the event, which was held at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The ceremony, which took place on February 19th, included a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II led by Dame Helen Mirren.
But Sophie Turner’s dress wasn’t the only thing that turned heads at the BAFTA Awards. Her freshly cut curtain bangs also earned a lot of attention on the Red Carpet. According to Vogue, the actress’ hairdo was created by Christian Wood.
The stylist created a classic graduating curtain shape that skimmed the ends of the 27-year-old’s eyebrows and the top of her cheekbones. The result is a super flattering 1970s-inspired style that effortlessly framed Sophie Turner’s blue eyes and bone structure. Her new hairstyle was paired with an exaggerated fan of lashes.
The look was created by makeup artist Naoko Scintu who wanted to give the X-Men alum a slightly rosy, less-is-more look for the evening.
Away from the Red Carpet, Sophie Turner recently starred in The Staircase on HBO Max. Created for the streaming service by Antonio Campos, the biographical drama is based on the 2004 true crime docuseries of the same name by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade. It tells the story of novelist Michael Peterson who is accused of killing his wife after she is found dead at the bottom of a staircase in their home.
As the investigation continues, the family is thrown into a difficult legal battle which pushes their bond to the limit. A French documentary team also takes an interest in their story. The series stars Colin Firth as Michael Peterson and Toni Collette as his deceased wife Kathleen Peterson.
Sophie Turner, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Odessa Young, and Rosemarie DeWitt also star. Sophie Turner will also star in the upcoming drama Joan for ITV in the United Kingdom. The six-part series is inspired by notorious British jewel thief Joan Hannington, Deadline reports.
Written by Anna Symon, the story is set in 1980s London and follows the criminal whose exploits earned her the nickname “The Godmother” in the city’s underworld.
“I’m so excited to be bringing Joan Hannington’s fascinating life story to screen in Joan,” Sophie Turner said in a statement. “She is one of the most notorious figures in the criminal underworld of London.” The actress said she is excited to explore how Hannington managed to juggle her career as a jewel thief while trying to get her daughter back from social services.
“We see a mother in despair swept up in the exhilarating world of crime,” Sophie Turner added about the role. Filming will begin in London later this year. The project currently has no release date.
