Daenerys’ relationship with Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) begins with marital rape, but in Episode 2, she asserts her dominance inside the bedroom (or bed tent, as the Dothraki would have it). Blockbuster fantasy? Check. British indies? Check. Emilia Clarke can do it all. This 2012 comedy stars Clarke as Sally, a young woman who crosses paths with a group of dudes obsessed with The Stone Roses. Sally and the boys attempt to get into the band’s legendary gig at Spike Island in Cheshire, England (the film takes place in the early 1990s), but their plan quickly goes awry. 3- ‘Game of Thrones’: Season 1 Episode 10
The Game of Thrones Season 1 finale ends with a powerful image of Daenerys, naked and covered in ash, standing before a group of committed Dothrakis. While the scene isn’t sexual in nature, it’s impossible to look away as hundreds of Dothraki kneel before a woman fully owning her nakedness. With baby Drogon on her shoulder and a legion of devoted followers, Dany is setting herself up for success (until, you know, the final season).
4- ‘Terminator: Genisys’
Clarke has plenty of experience playing badass ladies, so it’s no surprise that she’s great in sci-fi film Terminator: Genisys. It takes a while for Daenerys to fully get over Drogo’s death, but when she does, there’s a fine piece of enforcement ass waiting for her. One season and one actor change later, Dany and Daario (first played by Ed Skrein, then Michiel Huisman) are mixing business with oh-so-much pleasure. “Do what you do best. Take off your clothes,” she says in this particularly hot scene. When Khaleesi commands it, you obey.
6- ‘Me Before You’
Clarke’s chemistry with Sam Claflin (best known for playing Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games) powers this sob-inducing romance. Based on a novel of the same name, Me Before You follows a London banker named Will who is paralyzed from the neck down after he’s involved in an accident. When Will’s mother hires Lou (Clarke) as a companion for her son, the two fall in love, and they each begin to see the world a bit differently. With its PG-13 rating, Me Before You gives even the most buttoned-up a chance to experience Clarke’s sexy charm.
7- ‘Game of Thrones’: Season 5 Episode 7
What is it with Emilia Clarke and seventh episodes? In Season 5, Dany and Daario are still going at it, and despite dealing with some serious political drama, they show no signs of stopping. When Dany coyly asks if Daario is jealous of her marriage to Hizdahr, they have a sweet back and forth that quickly transitions into round two. These two can go all damn day.
8- ‘Voice From the Stone’
In the mood for a sexy supernatural thriller? This underappreciated indie stars Clarke as Verena, a child psychologist attempting to help a young boy move past his mother’s death. After Verena realizes that she looks like the boy’s late mother, she begins dreaming about having sex with his father, Klaus (Marton Csokas). Soon, their relationship escalates; the action culminates in a nude modeling scene that is equally bizarre and hot.
9- ‘Game of Thrones’: Season 7 Episode 7
It was the boink heard ’round the world. In the Season 7 finale, Dany and Jon Snow (Kit Harinton) finally have sex for the first time, and they’re both fully unaware of the fact that she’s his aunt. Of course, viewers couldn’t possibly have forgotten: as they boned, Bran’s (Isaac Hempstead Wright) voiceover explained that Dany and Jon Snow are related, and as such, “he’s the heir to the Iron Throne.” You really hate to see it.
10- ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’
Clarke’s role in Solo: A Star Wars Story isn’t exactly Daenerys-level steamy — this is Disney we’re talking about — but it does provide a new dose of sexual tension for the Star Wars franchise. Three years after Han Solo’s (Alden Ehrenreich) lover Qi’ra (Clarke) is captured, the duo reunite and plan a coaxium heist. Han and Qi’ra may be battling hostile forces left and right, but they manage to find plenty of time for flirty banter and even a kiss or two.
