Sydney Sweeney went to her first football game and posted the highlights to her Instagram page.

Sydney Sweeney was rooting for the home team over the weekend when she attended a soccer (or football) match to cheer on the AFL New South Wales team, The Sydney Swans. While we’re sure she was on board for a multitude of reasons, the Euphoria actress was no doubt extra giddy about the game-day showdown knowing that she shared a name with the football team. In a lineup of Instagram images that you can see below, the actress — who once portrayed Amber Heard on the big screen — dons some team merch as well as a crop top and jeans and shares her big day out.

What would a trip to see a sports team that shares the same name as you be without taking a photo next to one of their signs? That’s precisely what Sydney Sweeney did in the first shot as the actress poses next to an illuminated display cheering on the Sydney Swans. Taking things centerfield, The White Lotus actress demonstrates her very own physical prowess, showing off a set of cartwheels while rocking a Swans scarf.

By the time we get to the third photo, another very familiar face catches our eye. Standing right next to Sydney Sweeney is none other than Scream VI star Dermot Mulroney. While their paths haven’t yet crossed on-screen, it was recently revealed that the duo would star alongside one another in the Will Gluck-helmed untitled rom-com. The film, which will see Sweeney nab the affections of Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell, will be the My Best Friend’s Wedding star’s return to a genre that he’s very comfortable with following his dance with Ghostface in this year’s Scream VI.

Rounding out the images, we see Sydney Sweeney gracefully pose on the field again and then an up-close shot of her and Dermot Mulroney goofing off and enjoying a beautiful day at the stadium. Finally, we catch a look at some of the concession stand delicacies the Bronco-enthusiast is enjoying as Sweeney shares an image of what appears to be a chocolate and peanut-covered dessert. 

This set of pictures, which Sydney Sweeney captioned as her “first footy game”, is a great look into how the cast of the unnamed rom-com is enjoying their days off between filming. It already appears that Sweeney and Mulroney have formed a friendly bond as the two can be seen cheesing it up next to one another in a handful of these shots. It’s also clear that Sweeney is enjoying her time on location for what’s sure to be another hit for the two-time Emmy-nominated actress.

Outside of her time on the rom-com, audiences can expect to soon see Sydney Sweeney in Tony Tost’s crime thriller Americana. The film, which recently debuted at SXSW but has yet to set a theatrical release date, also stars Halsey, Paul Walter Hauser, and fellow Euphoria star Eric Dane. Perhaps most exciting for comic fans, Sweeney will be making her way into the superhero franchise by way of the upcoming feature Madame Web.

Joining a cast that includes Dakota Johnson and Emma Roberts, we finally know that Sydney Sweeney will appear as Julia Carpenter, aka the second Spider-Woman. Fans have been gobbling up everything they can when it comes to the feature, which is due out in 2024, with many sharing their own speculations on who other cast members like Adam Scott and Mike Epps will join the Marvel family as.

Finally, while Euphoria Season 3 may be up in the air, audiences can expect to catch Sydney Sweeney in the film production Immaculate, a Michael Mohan-helmed horror feature that will see the actress opposite names like Álvaro Morte and Benedetta Porcaroli.
