Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik sparked relationship rumors after the two singers were allegedly spotted on what appeared to be a romantic date night in New York City.

A hostess at a celebrity-loved Manhattan restaurant witnessed Gomez and Malik locking lips while grabbing dinner together on Thursday night, Klarissa Garcia claimed in a TikTok video that has since gone viral.

“No one noticed them except for [the hostess],” Garcia said over the phone on Friday, adding that the restaurant is in Soho. “It was pretty public but … no one really cares about famous people in New York.”

Gomez and Malik, both 30, didn’t seem to care about keeping things low-key on their alleged outing.

The pair was allegedly smooching at their table, which was situated right in the middle of the large and buzzy downtown eatery, we’re told.

Garcia tells us that the pair allegedly enjoyed their PDA-filled date night during peak dinner time and stayed for about two hours before making their exit.

Garcia’s TikTok included a screenshot of her conversation with her hostess friend, who claimed in text messages, “Tell me how Selena Gomez and Zayne just walked into [blurred out restaurant] hand in hand making out and I seated them.”

The hostess then added, “Everyone’s out here feeling bad for Selena. MEANWHILE, she with [Gigi Hadid’s] BABY ZADDDYYY.”

Romance rumors first started swirling when eagle-eyed spies noticed that Malik recently became one of Gomez’s 403 million Instagram followers. He notably only follows 18 people on his own account.

Malik shares 2-year-old daughter Khai with ex-girlfriend Gigi, who dumped the One Direction alum in October 2021 after he was accused of striking her mom, Yolanda Hadid.

The “Pillowtalk” singer vehemently denied the claims.

Gigi, for her part, has stayed relatively quiet about the incident, but her rep shared in a statement at the time, “Gigi is solely focused on the best for [daughter] Khai. She asks for privacy during this time.”

Meanwhile, Gomez was most recently rumored to be dating The Chainsmokers member Drew Taggart, 33, after they were spotted on a flirty date in Brooklyn in January. However, as she and the DJ continued to spark dating chatter, Gomez took to Instagram to confirm her single status.

Gomez has dated a slew of famous men in the past. She was famously in a relationship with Justin Bieber on and off for eight years before they broke up in 2018. Months later, the “Peaches” singer proposed to his now-wife, Hailey Bieber, née Baldwin.

The “Only Murders in the Building” actress and Hailey have since sparked feud rumors which got so out of hand that Gomez had to ask her fans to stop sending death threats to the Rhode Skin founder over the ongoing drama this week.

Gomez also dated The Weeknd, 33, for 10 months in 2017 and has been romantically linked to stars like Charlie Puth, 31, Samuel Krost, 30, Niall Horan, 29, Zedd, 33, and Orlando Bloom, 46.

A potential relationship between Gomez and Malik isn’t entirely out of the blue. A video from 2010 has resurfaced of the “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum admitting that Malik would be her preferred choice if she had to choose a One Direction member to kiss.

Luckily for Gomez, it seems Malik’s feelings were mutual.
